Suri Bala

Suri Bala is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of d3VIEW, a Michigan based engineering technology company whose globally adopted software platform empowers organizations across the automotive, aerospace, biomedical, and manufacturing sectors to streamline engineering workflows and extract meaningful insights from complex data. A 1999 master’s graduate of West Virginia University’s Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering department, Suri brings more than 30 years of expertise in Simulation technologies, High Performance Computing, Multiphysics modeling, and workflow automation. He spent nearly two decades as a Senior Scientist at Livermore Software Technology Corporation, working closely with LS-DYNA creator Dr. John O. Hallquist and supporting engineers worldwide in simulation driven product development.

Today, Suri leads d3VIEW in building a global, AI powered data to decision ecosystem. Under his leadership, the platform has evolved into a recognized industry standard, enabling engineering teams around the world to accelerate innovation and make data driven decisions with confidence. Beyond entrepreneurship, Suri Bala is widely respected as a mentor, educator, and innovator dedicated to advancing the engineering community. He has authored numerous technical publications, holds multiple patents, and continues to teach and mentor engineers through crashworthiness courses and professional collaborations. Outside of his professional work, Suri enjoys traveling the world, cooking for his family, and staying active through cricket. He also spends time on woodworking projects, appreciates the classic sound of his LP collection, and is currently learning French. His interest in spirituality and meditation brings balance and reflection to his daily life.
